Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

Pinch of kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

Juice and zest of 2 lemons

¼ cup chopped fresh parsley leaves

1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil, or to taste

Instructions

Cook the linguine according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add shallots and garlic, cook until softened.

Add red pepper flakes and shrimp to the skillet, cook until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.

Add white wine, lemon juice, and zest to the skillet. Cook until slightly reduced.

Stir in reserved pasta water until desired sauce consistency is reached.
